We're ready for the show!

Donut, potato chips, peanut butter & jelly-it's whats for lunch! For a prego!

Thursday for lunch Yvette had an interesting lunch combo and I thought I should capture it. Brooke is getting ready to be gone next week on vacation and her birthday is at the end of July. For her birthday she is going to do a random act of kindness for every year she's been alive. We all were trying to help her come up with idea's of random acts of kindness. I love that idea of doing a random act of kindness for every year of life. So cool. If you think of any, let me know.
Fitness: NONE. Shayla had something come up. I don't even remember now.

Friday was a great day. Joe and Brooke offered to let us come over and swim but when I left work it was lightening and raining a little so we didn't go. The storm passed quickly so we should have just gone. Oh well, hindsight is always 20/20! When I got off work and went to pick up my girls Paili wanted me to go with her to feed the chicken, Sweetie.

Feeding the horses. With an umbrella.
Sky "helping" us put the tent up!

We started getting stuff set up for the annual firework extravaganza! We love this tradition with our friends and family! Damon, Kellie, and the kids were outside when we got home and I walked over with the girls for a minute to chat. Kellie told me she had gotten her yoga mat! She's serious! I'm so excited! I bathed my girls and put them to bed. Justin went outside to get fireworks prepped and I went out to help him. I really enjoyed just being with him and working on the fireworks. It was a very late night with fireworks, cleaning, and prepping food!
Fitness:OFF on Fridays.

My Granny.

Wednesday while I was at work Justin called to let me know that his Dads (Mike) girlfriends (Janie) daughters (Tanya) husband (Ronnie)had been killed in an accident at his home late Tuesday evening. My heart broke as Justin told me the story. I love that family. Janie has been so great to me and my girls. She has such a warm, giving, loving, fun, and strong spirit. I've really enjoyed getting to know her family. She has 3 sweet girls. Tanya, Stephanie and Kristin. I bonded very quickly with them and they made me feel from the very beginning like I belonged to their family and they were so happy that I was with them. Ronnie and Tanya have 2 children, Rebecca and RJ. Rebecca had been outside with Ronnie while he was working on a dump truck. He asked her to jump into the cab and turn the wheel, when she did, the truck rolled forward and crushed him. I was just so sad thinking about that poor family. His funeral is set for Monday. Please pray with me for this whole family. It's going to be a hard road in front of them.

My Mom took my girls, my niece, and my nephews to Kansas to see my Granny and Aunt.
Granny with the herd!
She's wearing Sky's hat.
I have always been very close to my Granny. She is an incredible, FUN, godly woman. Her mind has been taken by dementia. She doesn't know who anybody is anymore (most days) and I hate that. I used to call her several times a week on my way to work and chat with her about life. We used to hang out and talk for hours. She was one of my very best friends. Her love for Jesus is incredible. Her laughter is contagious. Her zest for life was unmatched. I could listen to her tell stories of her past forever. She was a great story teller and thankfully all of her kids got that gift. Both her daughters married son of a @#$% Republicans. She chased my Uncle around with a bat. She got a boat for Mothers Day once. She loved my Baba (her husband) with all that she had and never remarried after he died suddenly of a heart attack when I was 3. She was elected as Mayor of Bartlett (and she didn't even run!!). She has a tattoo of a mouse she'd show only the people closest to her. She once ran with a swingers crowd. To this day no one really knows what her name is. She grows all kinds of facial hair (thanks Granny for passing that down). She was terrified of the water because she almost drowned once. She always had Werthers Original candy and those little strawberry candies on hand. She loved to get up early DRINK HER COFFEE, pray for her family-one by one and do her Bible study. She loved to dance. She loved to sing. She loved to give you a hard time (runs in the family!). She loved to sit and play solitaire. She loved to play card games with us. She loved to read. She had NO qualms telling you exactly what she is thinking or feeling. If she felt like you were screwing something up in your life, she'd be the first to tell you. She would also be the first to praise you. I'm having a hard time figuring out if I should use past tense or present tense. Bear with me as I flip back and forth!  She's not gone but her mind is. She's not the same amazing lady she once was. When I was young I'd get SO excited when I saw my Mom put Diet Pepsi in the fridge because that meant my Grannie was coming. I always knew I was her favorite. Maybe we all did! She did have a way of making everyone feel special. She was loved by everyone that came in contact with her, even if the contact was very brief. I could go on and on about my Granny. I just recently had a conversation with an old friend who her father is in prison. She doesn't want to go see him because she doesn't want to remember him like that. It reminds me of this situation. I don't enjoy going to see my Granny, I don't get excited and pumped. It's more like I have to pump myself up for it. Remind myself that she did know me and adore me. But man, I miss her. And she's not even gone.
Fitness: None. I waited patiently for my girls to come home and skipped a workout thinking they'd be home any minute when really there was a miscommunication and ended up spending the night with my Mom and Dad. I was heartbroke not to see my girls but I know it was for the best because of how late it was. I did get some good cleaning done without helpers though!

Thanks Brooke!!

I love watching them together.
My awesome parents. I'm so thankful for them. Each and every day.
Tuesday was a run night. We did Week 6 Day 1 of C25K. Psssh...we ran 20 minutes straight on Sunday. It was a fairly easy run. Longest stint of the run was 10 minutes. Easy Peasy!

Pai and her new flower pressing kit!
I really do have awesome coworkers. Brooke gave me this book (see picture above) to give to Paili that she found in some of Laneys (Brooke's daughter) old stuff. It's a flower pressing kit. Paili loves to be outside and loves collecting things so this is one of the most perfect little gifts ever. She was so excited and couldn't wait to get started with it. Thank you Brookie and Laney!! We love you guys!
Kayla doing the splits!
My Mom picked up my niece and my youngest nephews from Linde on Wednesday for the day and overnight. Mom called me and asked if she could keep Paili too. I, of course, said yes, I knew Paili would be so excited to spend the night with Kayga. I asked Kayla if she'd like to come and do yoga with us that evening. She said YES! I was thrilled. I love spending time with her. She is very flexible and yoga comes natural to her. I wish she could come all the time. I also learned that she has Aushtin Shlickers syndrome. I have no idea what that is or how it's spelled but I was cracking up at her saying it. (It's nothing serious-something about her cartilage not growing as fast as her bones.)
She's a natural yoga-er!

I also talked to Kellie (neighbor) about coming to Yoga with us! She's going to start next week! So exciting! She seems like such a nice girl! I can't wait to get to know her better! If you remember Damon from a previous post-she's Damon's fiancee. Heather was going to join us but couldn't get Drake to go to sleep and Greg's out of town so she had to bow out. Bummer!
I am so excited about the lady's in my neighborhood working out with me! We may have to see about the city hall if class keeps growing and it gets cold out!

I love babies!!!

Yvette at 11.5 weeks pregnant!
I've finally been given permission to say...Yvette is pregnant!! Yes, the baby is mine. Ok, not really, but I am so excited!!  She is 11 1/2 weeks. Her sweet little belly is really poofing out much more than it did with Taylor at this point. She has wanted this baby for so long, I couldn't be happier for her. (and ME-cause I LOVE babies!) I was really hoping for twins but she had the ultrasound and there's only 1 baby in there! I'm wishing for a healthy baby girl! She already has a handsome boy, but I want her to have a girl this time!

She loves my new glasses!

Monday was Yoga night. We had a great class where Shayla fell asleep at the ending. I did too but very briefly. She was out cold. Amy is at camp this week so she won't be with us until next week. We missed you Amy!

Possum, Snake, and 3 skunks=FUN!

My silly monkey, 2 paci's!

So funny!
Sunday was really great. I got up and made cinnamon rolls, took a shower, and got my girls and myself to church. We had the typical Sunday afternoon of  playing outside and cleaning. A nice little nap for SkyPie. Nice long bath for my girls. On my way to go walk with Shayla, I turned my flashlight on and noticed it was very dim. I saw something on the side of the road that looked kind of like a cat but a little different, I was on the opposite side of the road when I realized that it was a possum. Yuck! I kept going and told Shayla about the little friend on the road. We stretched, did crunches and hit the road. We stopped at my house so I could grap this head light thing that Justin has. I looked pretty hot, let me tell you! HA! We were walking and came across a snake. We had nothing to kill it with so Shayla went over to one of my neighbors who had apparently been having a good time. 2 men came down and both were drunker than cooter brown. One of them proceeded to take his flip flop off and kill the snake while the other one was telling him, no man, that's a good snake! We have no idea really if it was a good snake or a bad snake. (Unless you're my Mom and then it was a very good snake because the only good snake, is a dead snake!) We think it was a copper mouthed rattler. We then continued on our way. As we were running up to a light, I saw some movement under it and quickly grabbed Shay's arm and told her to stop running. She didn't understand why and was talking rather loudly when I told her...BE QUIET! Skunks! There was a momma snake and 2 babies. They were SO cute. However, I had no desire to be sprayed. Poor Shayla was scared to death but I told her as long as we didn't make any sudden movements, we were fine. We walked quickly and quietly past them. Then laughed hysterically at all of the wildlife we'd seen in one night. Then we came across a big black bear. Ok, that's not true. No bear. The run was 20 minutes-no walk breaks. WE DID IT!!! It was awesome. We did an incredible job. We could have kept going at the end. I was so proud of us.

Brave!

Attempt #??? on trying to get family picture at theatre. Sky wouldn't cooperate.
My girl enjoyed Brave!
Sky was great through Brave!

My little darlings.
My big girl.
Sky was loving the little brothers.
Saturday we had a family fun day! We were going to go swimming, then grab some pizza, and go to the drive in but we decided that with the weather looking iffy it would be a better match to go to see Brave at the theatre and then go get some dinner. I'm glad we chose this option. It was Sky's first movie experience and she did awesome! I was so proud of her. We really enjoyed the movie. We went to Mucho Mexico to eat dinner and then went back home. The girls enjoyed a really long bath playing with their new bathtub crayons. I love days with my family. I'm so blessed with my hubby and girls.

I love corn!

Pai, Brooke, and Sky.
Friday I knew Justin was going to come and take me to lunch but I had no idea he'd bring our girls. I was so happy to see them running in my office to see their Momma! I asked Angie and Brooke if they wanted to join us and off we went to Boomers. My girls with their "Aunt" Brooke! She loves them and they love her! If I would have been quicker I would have taken a picture of Angie with Sky on her lap "helping" her with her iPhone. The Hoods came over for dinner. Shayla and I took the kids for a little walk. Justin made hamburgers and cooked some corn on the cob. I had a couple of bites of my hamburger and ate 3 ears of corn. SO GOOD! I love summer!
Kenley and Sky. He loved snuggling with her!
Paili, Kenley, Skylar, and Konner.
