Celebrating Yvette's birthday!!

Saturday night, the 31st, we celebrated my friend Yvette's 31st birthday! Justin and I picked up the McMillians and the Coles in the Suburban. We went and ate at Coconuts Bar and Grill, a new restaurant here in town. Food was pretty good. Atmosphere was wonderful. Silverados was next on our to do list! We played shuffleboard, a new adventure for most of us-it would have been a blast had I been able to do it.(just once was all I wanted!!) It was still alot of fun, Garen and Yvette must do it in all their free time because they were the only ones that managed to get any points!

Across the street from Silverados is Guitars. We had a blast, we danced the night away!! I LOVE to dance!! The place was packed! We saw several other friends and enjoyed catching up.

Apparently, it will be a tradition that we have a few pictures in a cowboy hat from some random cowboy. Last year, Justin grabbed it off of some guys fighting (we gave it back) this year Yvette asked for it. How cute is she!?!?!

The last place we went was back to the McMillians home where we were joined again by Valery, Yvettes little sister and her friend Kevin King. (The mans name in full was mentioned so many times...its burned in my memory)

One of the funniest parts of the evening was all the talk about Boyo...then Yvette calling herself Yoyo. There was some non-funny parts that I don't even want to get into but it makes me so glad for the marriage and life that I have.

We had a blast. I adore my friends!! I am so glad they are in my life.

SNOW!

The last couple of days we got some snow and ice. On Tuesday Paili called me on my way home from work and asked if we could make snow angels when I got home, well...when I got home it was dark and snowing ALOT! So, I promised I would take her out to play when I got home early on Wednesday. True to my word...we played hard outside! We had so much fun!! Jack and Jakob, my nephews were here so they played with us. I wanted the pictures after I had typed...but...apparently not happening. :) I'll get better the more I do of these!

We love our friends!!

So, I was riding to Wal-Mart with my old lady friend Kelsy (I say old lady friend because she is in 2 Bunco groups--yes, you read 2) and she mentioned blogging so I decided, I need one too! We are so blessed with the friends that we have in our life. I firmly believe that friends are the family that you choose. Our "family" has grown and changed due to marriage, kids and sadly divorce but they are all still precious to us. Most of our dearest friends are friends that I have had in my life since kindergarten, jr high and high school. Thank God they love my husband and he loves them. We love you all!! You make life so much fun. I love that Paili has so many "cousins and aunts and uncles" to love and that love her. These are some of the pictures from the afternoon/evening with the Vannamans.
