Friday I got half of my family out the door for work and school. I still had a few things to finish up before the Golubski family arrived. Justin started texting me around 9 in the morning just giddy with excitement. If you know Justin, you know he doesn't really get excited about much of anything. Chris and Justin became best buds in college. Chris left OCC and joined the Army. When Justin and I got married, Chris would have been his best man but Chris was unsure of if he would make it or not. Chris was stationed in Colorado at the time and he drove straight through. He got here in time for the wedding and then drove straight back to Colorado. That right there is a true friend. Chris went to St Louis Christian College and met the love of his life, Adrienne. He brought her home to meet us and we loved her. I had hoped and prayed that he would find someone incredible and she exceeded all my expectations. They got married in December just a couple of months after Paili was born. Justin was one of his groomsmen and we traveled to Illinois to be there for their big day. They've been living in Illinois where Chris had been the youth pastor there for the past several years. Adrienne taught school until she had Mirella and now she's a wonderful stay at home Momma. Currently, they live in St Louis and Chris is getting ready to start police academy. We hadn't seen Chris and Adrienne since they got married and they have had two beautiful girls since then. I couldn't wait to see them and love on their babies. I had gone to get Paili from school when they got here. Mirella is 2 and reminds me a lot of Paili when she was that age. She is incredibly smart and talks non stop. She is so sweet. Chris and Adrienne are doing a great job with her. Well, lets face it, it's really all Adrienne. Zasia is 4 months and is such a good baby. The girls all played really well together. (Let's pretend that Skylar is good at sharing.) Skylar is the baby of all the kids we are with all of the time. Therefore, she is never made to share. I learned that we need to work on that. Yikes. Adrienne and I played outside with the girls while Justin cooked dinner. Chris just bounced back and forth between both scenes. Paili played hopscotch with Adrienne. Hilarious to watch the 2 little girls "helping" by picking up the rocks that the girls would throw to figure out where to hopscotch to. Chris ran the little girls up and down the road in the little car. He also rode bikes with Paili. She loved that. We came in and fed the girls and I ran to my parents to grab our other pack and play and our air mattress. We put the girls to bed and we got to eat dinner. It was so good. Justin made some stuffed zucchini (my suggestion) that were amazing. I can't wait to have that again! We stayed up way too late talking but it was worth it!

Fitness: Adrienne and I were going to go on a run but it never happened. There's always tomorrow!

Clean house=happy Momma

My girl in her CLEAN room!
Thursday was my first day of "vacation". I spent all day cleaning my house and playing with Skylar. I'll be the very first to admit that I am not Susie homemaker. I can find all kinds of things to do before I worry about my house, well, all the rooms in my house anyways. Poor Skylar's room has been a catch all for quite a while. Her room is perfect now! Absolutely clean and neat. Sure, it took me all day to do it but it's now done! I feel so good about it. Justin told me that he's pretty sure that our house has never been this clean all at one time. Uh, glad I got that out there for everyone to see. Ha! It would be embarrassing if I planned on continuing to live that way. However, I feel like I can do anything now. I do know that when reality hits and I am no longer a pretend stay at home Mom, it will be much harder to do it. I am determined though, that I can and I will make this a reality for our home. Seriously...I've got good friends in my neighborhood that could drop in at anytime and demand to come in and check my house. Well, maybe they won't demand but I would like to be able to swing any door open in my house and be thrilled about it. Poor Sky got a bloody lip today as she was running through her room and tripped over one of the dogs only to be stopped by the window sill with her mouth. She screamed but got over it pretty quick when I got the ice for her. Paili absolutely loves when she gets to be a parent pick up at school. I love it too. Sky is always so excited to go get Sissy!

Fitness: I cleaned my butt off today. Justin didn't get home until really late so I called it good.

Rainbows...make me feel dirty.

Celebrating Denise's win @ Del Rio!

Absolutely disgusting.

Wednesday we took Denise to lunch to celebrate her winning Jasper County Treasurer! She wanted to go to Del Rio. We all love Del Rio, and Denise...so it was a win all around!

I had a rough day at work so I was even more ecstatic that I'm getting ready to be gone for 5 whole days from work! See ya Tuesday work!!

I got a text today from Jim, the childrens minister at church. He asked if I could help out in the Wednesday night church. I called him and told him I would. I had been planning on doing choir this semester but that's ok. When I told Paili he had asked she started squealing...please say yes!! I felt really good about my decision at that point. I love to be a part of Paili's relationship with God.

After I fed my girls dinner, I was cleaning up the kitchen and Paili asked if I would pray for her. I, of course, told her that I would. She responded with, I mean now, right now. I stopped what I was doing, went over and leaned over her sweet little head and we prayed. I love that she sees value in prayer. I love that she is able to express to me when she has a fear or a worry and we pray about it together. God is constantly teaching me through my girls.

Lee came over that evening to show me something he is excited about...Rainbow vacuums! Our family had one once upon a time and it was an awesome vacuum. I remember how good it smelled, you could put different scents in it and it would make the entire house smell amazing. Good news, they still do that and so much more. My Dad came over to do yoga that night and he said he could smell the eucalyptus in the air before he even got to my house! I really want to get one in the future. Yes, even though I have hardwoods through most of my house. We have carpet in the girls bedrooms and we have furniture AND the system now does hardwood floors! Thank you Lee for showing me how disgusting my house is! GAG!

4x4 fun!

Brianna (our neighbor) and Paili-both sporting Hello Kitty.

Jakey Lee is so good to his baby cousin. He changed her for me without me even asking. (And she was poopy!)

Jake likes to pose these days. Thinking hard about the baby puzzle.

KK and Skylar

Wipe out!

Payton (Kellie's oldest baby) So cute!

Angie and Sky

She loved riding on this princess 4x4. Love hearing her sweet giggle. Video.

Drake and Sky

So cute!!

Short but cute little video of these 2 sweeties!

Tuesday on the way to school I asked Paili what I could pray for her about, she said friends. We prayed about it and she said she felt better. When we got to school , we arrived at the same time as our neighbors dropping off Brianna (again). I realized both girls were wearing Hello Kitty so, of course, I made them pose quickly for me. After work, Jakob changed Sky for me while I was looking for a book for a friend. She was even poopy. I love that kid. When we got home Paili HAD to ride her bike for awhile. Angie, KK, and Payton came down to play with the girls. KK thought Sky should drive the 4x4. She loved it and just giggled and giggled. So funny. Payton kept jumping in front of the 4x4 and Sky thought that was hilarious. Pai offered to let Payton ride her bike and he declined stating that even though pink is his favorite color, he couldn't ride a bike without training wheels. Heather and Drake got home while we were outside and I went over to chat with Heather. Sky was very excited to see her little buddy outside.

Fitness: I walked and ran.

I love my workout buddies!

I'm so excited about this baby!

Sleepier boy.

Sweet pig tails!
This girl LOVES riding her bike.
Watching Sissy ride.

                                                        She's getting it!! Video.
Sleepy boy.

My workout girls!! Kellie, Me, and Amy.
Monday, I got to go pick up my nephews and bring them to my parents house. I love those boys. They apparently had long days. Jack was asleep when I got to Linde's to pick him up and they both fell asleep on the way to my parents. Sky was so excited to see the boys. She danced all around them. I love how close they all are. When we got home Paili rode her bike some more, she's getting better! I found out that our friends, the Golubski's are for sure coming on Friday!! I can't tell you how excited I am to see them. I took of Thursday, Friday, and next Monday. Thursday to get the house ready, Friday because I'm not sure what time they'll be here, and Monday...because I can!

Fitness: YOGA! It was my Dad, me, and both my yoga girls. I look forward to yoga because both of them are more likely to attend yoga than to run with me. :) I love our time together.

Stay on the bike Pai!

Sweet babies.
Ready for church!
Sky is too!
Snuggling watching The Lorax.
Ready to ride!!
Fun little video of Pai riding her bike.

Sunday, I got up and took my babies to church. Mark said something in his sermon that really struck me as something I will start doing. He said as parents we should be asking, "How can I pray for you today?" I love this. I look forward to the answers I'll be getting from my little miss on our way to school in the mornings. Justin finally fixed Paili's tire on her bike. She was so excited to get out there and ride her bike. She'd get going and then get nervous and just jump off. It was hilarious the first few times and then I just kept telling her to stay on and keep pedaling. She'll get it...eventually!

Fitness: Amy and I walked a different path than normal. It was 4.87 miles. Great walk.

Laser fun!

This hat will be fun for years to come, I'm sure.
Nap with Daddy
She is so ornery!
Playing with dolls.
Sitting with Colby.
"Sup" Video
Ever played with a laser and a baby? It's HILARIOUS! Video

We had a laid back morning and afternoon. Paili helped me around the house and cleaned her room. She's getting better at cleaning her room by herself. She still needs some assistance of course but I'm glad she is trying! Saturday evening we went to the Garman's. Aaron had bought a laser at a convention they had gone to this last week. We put it to good use playing with the baby. Aaron also taught Sky to say, "Sup". She went around all evening saying that. We had a great evening. I can't say enough how thankful I am for the people in our lives.

Fitness: Saturdays I take off.

Andy, me, Erin
I've loved this kid since he was little!

The band!
Chicken Dance time!!
Abbey likes to chicken dance!
Linda and David...love to chicken dance!
Chicken dance fun...for the whole family. Unless you're doing the sexy chicken dance!
Aaron also likes to do the irish jig.
No idea what they were doing.
So happy these people are in my life!

The plans for the evening have been set since last year...we were going to Ernte Fest. It's a German festival in Freistatt, Mo that has a really fun Polka band. We went last year and had a blast! We went to the Garman's and met up with Aaron, Erin, and Andy. We drove through Chick-Fil-A so Erin and I could get something to eat. She and I weren't impressed with the food there last year. We then went to pick up David, Linda, Abbey, and Matt. While we were at Ernte Fest we sang along with the Polka band and laughed at each other. I do hate that we didn't get a big group picture like last year but it didn't happen. Next year for sure! We had a great time. After we dropped all the respective parties off, Justin and I went to Walmart to grab some things for the weekend. I had forgotten how nice Walmart is early in the morning. We went and picked up our girls and went home! Thanks for some fun memories guys! I added some pictures from last year for your viewing pleasure.
2011-Yvette's 1st time using a porta potty-she asked where to flush it.
2011-Popcorn fun. These 2 crack me up.
2011 Ernte Fest!

Fitness: I usually take Fridays off but does the chicken dance count?
