I do love those Garmans!

I'm sorry for the catch up post. For myself, not for my readers, you guys are probably relieved not to have to know about my daily life! I will have to do another catch up after this one.  I got way behind. These pictures are 8/28-9/1.

Wednesday: I had to miss my sweet nieces birthday party. I had already committed to go to a meeting at church for the Wednesday night classes I will help with starting next week. My girls still got to go and celebrate Kayga. Dad brought them to me at home.

Fitness: Yoga

Thursday: I was having a bit of a rough day at work. I had texted Erin to ask her to tell me something to make me laugh. She didn't send anything to make me laugh but she did send me an uber sweet text. I love her. Aaron texted me that evening something to make me laugh so hard I snorted. He said that Colby had thrown up at school today because one of the kids that sat around him at lunch had a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich. It was really a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich. He is so his fathers child.
Paili went with Andrew from school because it was his birthday. They went to Chuck E Cheese. Victoria sent me pictures of them. They had a great time. Justin had decided he was making quesadilla's for dinner. He had started the dinner when he realized we only had 2 tortillas. I texted both of my darling neighbors, Kellie and Amy to see if either of them had any. Kellie did not but Amy said she had just bought a pack for tonights dinner. Long story short, I took her pack with the intention of when I went to get Paili from Victoria I could replace her pack before her boys got home. I went to the store and the entire tortilla spot was cleaned out! I was so upset. I stopped at a few other places and nothing. Amy was insistent that it wasn't a big deal. I went home and grabbed what we had left to give her. Thanks Amy! I got a text of a picture of a sweet baby BOY that Yvette and Garen are having! Yay! So exciting!

Fitness: walk/run

Friday: I took off from work. Sky and I went to the Farmers Market in Webb City. They had a great selection and they were cheaper than my Carthage Farmers Market. We bought some yummy veggies! Then we had to go to the pet store to pick up some food for Hannah, the guinea pig. We walked all around there and checked out all kinds of animals. Her favorite was probably the fish, the parrot, or the ferret. Evening with the Garmans.

Fitness: OFF

Saturday: During breakfast, I noticed that while Paili was talking to me, her loose tooth was moving. I told her I wanted her to work on getting it out. She did and was able to twist it around a little while later. We went to Sky's room to play and I told her to grab a napkin and let me try one time to get it out. I told her that if I wasn't able to get it, I'd leave it alone for awhile. She went and got it and laid her head in my lap. Every time I went to grab it, she'd jump out of my lap. The last time she jumped hollering that she couldn't do it. It would hurt to bad. I started laughing because, I had a hold of the tooth. She was so excited and jumped up to go show her Daddy. I went to Bethany's Memorial service at College Heights. It was a beautifully done service. There were lots of tears shed all around. I got to hug some people that I don't get to see on a regular basis.  Funerals are always good for bringing people together, for that, I'm thankful. Bethany's Dad was not able to attend her service due to being in ICU at Freeman. How heartbreaking to not only lose your daughter but then not be able to attend her memorial. Please pray for Dick. Bethany's oldest son, CP (20 years old), James (her brother), and her husband all spoke at the service. They all did a wonderful job. They had a slide show of some pictures throughout her life play and while it was playing, they played a recording of her singing.

Well, I didn't see any dry eyes. Please keep their entire family in your thoughts and prayers. The Garmans came over for dinner. Even my sweet little Andy joined us!

I missed my girls so much all day. It was ridiculous. I loved having the time off with them but it sure makes going back to the real world rough.

Goodbye Bethany, You will be so missed.

Monday was my last day off before I had to go back to work. I've loved these days I've had off to pretend that I'm a stay at home Mom. There is no greater job than this. I got a text from my Mom that a sweet friend of ours, Bethany, has gone to meet Jesus face to face. Bethanys family has been very dear to our family throughout the years. Dick and Flora, her parents, taught a care group with my parents for several years and we spent a lot of good times with them. Dick and Flora have 3 children who are very special to me. Carissa, Bethany, and James. All three of them were so good to me growing up. I heard yesterday at church that they thought that Bethany had an aneurysm and things were looking pretty grim. It's still a little hard to believe that she's gone. Beth leaves behind 3 boys of her own, Clifton Paul (20), Triston (17), and Jacob (15). She had gotten married 2 years ago and they moved to Texas. The last facebook status update she posted was that she had a headache and was going to bed before it went into a migraine. I will miss so many things about her. She had a big boisterous voice. You could hear her coming from a mile away! She had an absolutely gorgeous singing voice. She always sang in choir and typically had a solo in most if the productions. She gave fantastic hugs. She had an unforgettable laugh. She was a fierce Bears fan. She loved football. Please keep her family in your prayers. Her boys are still young and it breaks my heart to know she is not going to be here to see them grow up.
I picked up Pai from school and we played and played and played outside.

Fitness: Yoga! Amy, Dad, and I were the yoga-ers!

Snuggle time Sunday!

I post a lot of pictures of them snuggling because they snuggle all the time. Love it!
Trying to ride the car. Silly monkey.
Sunday was church and then later my parents came over for dinner. I love spending time with my parents. I had gotten a text from Kellie on Saturday asking if I wanted a treadmill. One of our neighbors who is also Damons brother was wanting to get rid of theirs. I went and looked at it and decided it would fit behind my couch. The cold/rain/snow is coming so I'm very excited to be able to keep up with my running and be inside! The best part-it's free! Kellie and her family came over while my parents were here to meet my Mom.
Sky absolutely cracked my up when she saw Payton, she got so excited. She just kept saying hi and grinning so big. My how my heart fills with joy watching my girls.

Saturday Part 2-Working hard!

Me and my little darlings.
Maddy and Sky
Colby and Paili
Happy Birthday Janet!!
FUN times!
More fun hasn't been had in this home.
We were getting pretty loopy by this point. Exhibit A
Our hard work! 108 cases of water. That's 3,456 bottles of water.
We went to the Garmans that afternoon to work on these silly water bottles with Aaron and Erin. We had to take the bottles out of the packaging without ripping the package because its much easier to transport that way. We take the labels off of the water bottles, put new labels on them, and then put them neatly back into their package. We started about 4 in the afternoon and didn't finish until about 3:30 am. We had a quick dinner of pizza and Janet (Aarons Mom) brought over a pretty little cake to share with us because...it's her birthday!! Happy Birthday Janet!! They went to Cupcakes by Liz and saw this cake and knew they had to have it. I'm glad they did. I'd never had anything by Cupcakes by Liz. While we were working, the kids just played and played. Skylar played inside, the big kids played outside until it was dark.  Paili fell and hurt her "front butt" while she was riding her bike. OUCH! I did that when I was a kid too. It smarts! We sang a lot of songs, made up some songs, got a good workout in moving the big cases all around, and got out the glow in the dark necklaces. Even though we worked hard, it was still fun-and we got it all done! Good team work guys.

Can't wait until next time!

Sky had slept in her pack and play in our room Friday night so Saturday morning I was woken by her sweet little voice. Sky and I joined the rest of the gang who had been up for a few minutes. Sky was so excited to see them all again. She's such a people person. She just loves them. She get's so excited, I hope she never loses that excitement. Justin started getting breakfast ready and Adrienne and I decided it would be a good time to go on our run. We left the kids in the very capable hands of the guys and The Lorax. It was sprinkling on Adrienne and I as we were leaving. I love to run in light rain. We walked to warm up and enjoyed chatting without little girls. We enjoyed it so much that we didn't run until the very end. It was fantastic just getting some one on one time with her. We got back just as Justin was finishing up breakfast and the movie was ending. Talk about perfect timing! We played some more and then all too quickly it was time for them to start loading up. We're hoping we see them again before the girls are in high school. Seriously, we're planning on before the end of the year. I have long since decided that it doesn't really matter how much I like the parents, if the kid/kids are terrors I don't want to spend time together as a family. I'll avoid it at all costs.

Friday I got half of my family out the door for work and school. I still had a few things to finish up before the Golubski family arrived. Justin started texting me around 9 in the morning just giddy with excitement. If you know Justin, you know he doesn't really get excited about much of anything. Chris and Justin became best buds in college. Chris left OCC and joined the Army. When Justin and I got married, Chris would have been his best man but Chris was unsure of if he would make it or not. Chris was stationed in Colorado at the time and he drove straight through. He got here in time for the wedding and then drove straight back to Colorado. That right there is a true friend. Chris went to St Louis Christian College and met the love of his life, Adrienne. He brought her home to meet us and we loved her. I had hoped and prayed that he would find someone incredible and she exceeded all my expectations. They got married in December just a couple of months after Paili was born. Justin was one of his groomsmen and we traveled to Illinois to be there for their big day. They've been living in Illinois where Chris had been the youth pastor there for the past several years. Adrienne taught school until she had Mirella and now she's a wonderful stay at home Momma. Currently, they live in St Louis and Chris is getting ready to start police academy. We hadn't seen Chris and Adrienne since they got married and they have had two beautiful girls since then. I couldn't wait to see them and love on their babies. I had gone to get Paili from school when they got here. Mirella is 2 and reminds me a lot of Paili when she was that age. She is incredibly smart and talks non stop. She is so sweet. Chris and Adrienne are doing a great job with her. Well, lets face it, it's really all Adrienne. Zasia is 4 months and is such a good baby. The girls all played really well together. (Let's pretend that Skylar is good at sharing.) Skylar is the baby of all the kids we are with all of the time. Therefore, she is never made to share. I learned that we need to work on that. Yikes. Adrienne and I played outside with the girls while Justin cooked dinner. Chris just bounced back and forth between both scenes. Paili played hopscotch with Adrienne. Hilarious to watch the 2 little girls "helping" by picking up the rocks that the girls would throw to figure out where to hopscotch to. Chris ran the little girls up and down the road in the little car. He also rode bikes with Paili. She loved that. We came in and fed the girls and I ran to my parents to grab our other pack and play and our air mattress. We put the girls to bed and we got to eat dinner. It was so good. Justin made some stuffed zucchini (my suggestion) that were amazing. I can't wait to have that again! We stayed up way too late talking but it was worth it!

Fitness: Adrienne and I were going to go on a run but it never happened. There's always tomorrow!
